1. A match USA should have won, they know they want to win a WC but losing matches can be bad so a defeat which doesn't do good for thr USA as they have to wait for sum big wins as they are a need if u want to win a big tourney such as a WC! Rubbish n criticism for the Americans, do much better next time.

  2. Portuguese here. Just want to say a few things:
    – This game was a friendly. I bet things would be way faster and intense in a real competition.
    – Most players were playing with caution because their schedule in their clubs is full. They didn't wanted to risk an injury now to miss the world cup.
    – The sax guy at the beginning reminded me of the intro of Apollo Creed in Rocky IV. I know you're a proud people but for me it was cheesy as hell. Same with the horn.
    – Drone camera angles in real time make it worse. You may use their footage at replays only.

  3. I coach men's soccer, but obviously not at the highest level… But I have always been watching the USMNT forever and since the time 2010s I have always said and even went to games with posters saying USMNT should play a 5-3-2 or 3-4-3 type system and was always laughed at… My lineup if all healthy:

    GK – Turner

    RCB – Scally (6'0)

    CB – Richards (6'3)

    LCB – Robinson (6'0)

    RM/RWB – Adams

    CM – Tessmann

    CM – Cardoso

    LM/LWB – Mckennie

    RW/RF – Tillman

    LW/LF – Pulisic

    ST – Weah

This gives you a balanced backline that can play out the back with some size, pace and defending prowess. In the midfield you have 2 true holding midfielders who can assist to cover the back three while having two other strong aggressive midfielders who are all around type players with speed, toughness, and creativity to help both on offense and defense. Upfront you have our 3 best creative attackers that if I was coach, I would let them interchange and roam into each other's positions on the attack… I think Weah's skill, pace, and aggression is being wasted… He could be an excellent false 9 up top…

    Backups:

    GK – Freese

    RCB – McKenzie

    CB – Ream

    LCB – Trusty

    RM/RWB – Dest

    CM – Paxten Aaronson

    CM – Busio

    LM/LWB – Musah

    RW/RF – Reyna

LW/LF – Brenden Aaronson or Paredes

    ST – Balogun

  4. serious question here: All those games are played to „get ready for world cup“, but why is the ball not the official ball of the tournament? doesn’t make any sense to me to play with a complete different ball (adidas for tournament, Nike in this case here)
    thanks!

  5. I never seen so many non-portuguese people wear ronaldo jerseys and cheer for a foreign country. It was really an odd thing, and Ronaldo wasnt even playing.
