  1. Turkey is in the play-offs because they were in a group with Spain (I think they are the main favorites of the championship) lose and a draw. How can a CONCACAF team underestimate such a team.

After all, in terms of the total number of participants (not to mention households, with Fifa-mafia privileges), Turkey is more successful than all Concacaf teams combined.

  2. FIFA has sold itself out to third-rate associations. Introduce two new rules: a) Hosts in the pot they deserve and not necessarily in the first, b) the confederation loses the places that the hosts get, here CONCACAF has three additional places for weak teams,

FIFA indirectly admitted what nonsense they are doing (48 nations), so for placement in the group they returned to the mutual ratio and not the total goal difference so that the strongest will not abuse the weakest, because of the goal difference, as we could see in the last European qualifiers.

  3. 😂😂 anything can happen in football. US is only in pot 1 because theyre hosting not comparable to the top teams. Teams in other pots had their fingers crossed to be drawn here.

  4. No team can play Pot 4 “just happy to be there” teams for all 3 group games. Everyone else has enough talent to make life difficult for any team if well organized. They need to be respected. I don’t know what Casey Keller is so reserved about. These are teams that will be tough, but America should be expected to be able to beat at home. It’s not like getting thrown in a group with France, Norway, and Morocco (in a fictitious non home turf WC) where they face long odds to get out.

  5. I would like to know what these pundits are smoking. Group I is anything but a group of death. Senegal got crushed by 2 European teams in the last world cup by the Netherlands and England conceding 5 goals in the process and scoring 0 against those teams. This is an easy one to pick. Top 2 would most likely be France and Norway with 3rd place being a toss up between Senegal and Iraq. Iraq is a good team that has always had a good solid defensive structure which they only lack scoring goals. They definitely wont get embarassed by any of the teams in their group so if and when they lose it will only be by a 1 or 2 goal margin tops. Take the 2009 conrederation cup for example when Iraq were in a group with Spain. They tied 2 matches and just narrowingly lost to Spain 1-0 and they still ended up last place in the group. They might end up last place in their group but they wont give up much at the same time. Integrity and dignity comes first to them so being humiliated wont be on the agenda for them. They strictly rely on defense and counter acting football which is a huge contrast to Saudi Arabia where they go on full attacks and leave huge gaps at the back.

  6. People say the US group was kind, but uhhh every single game is a 50/50 lol. There's no Curacao in our group. Remember the Qatar WC, the USA's toughest game wasn't England…it was Wales. Had they lost that match, the WC is over, they drew it.

  7. Quarter final line-up?? EVEN IF the 8 teams finish top of their groups, the chances of them being in the QF lineup, on the assumption, say, that they have an 80% chance of winning each of their knockout matches (which is being very fair to ESPN), the probability of this QF lineup is 0.8 to the power 16 = less than 3%! To repeat that's even if the 8 teams top their groups. Ridiculous and typical of the nonsense on this channel.

  8. come on guys… this draw was designed to give the US the best shot at advancing.
And if that’s not enough, the officiating will guarantee every opportunity.
    It’s just Fifa reality.

  9. Why uzbekistan did not get seeded in France's group despite being drawn

There were no Barrier France European team
    Senegal African team

But they moved uzbekistan to Portugal's group? Why?

  10. USA have to play Australia. We have a saying "they cant run without legs" So the Yankee Seppos bastards are in for some amputations, we always play with a chainsaw in WCs!

  11. Don’t follow world rankings so forgive my ignorance but which deluded fool thinks the US is the 14th best team in the world. Heavens, there are European teams that haven’t qualified yet that would beat them 7 or 8 times out of 10. Even if absolutely everything falls its way (and this favourable group certainly helps) but I can’t see them getting any further than the round of 16.
