I disagree with Tim Howard. Surprisingly, these groups aren't watered down. Instead, the problem lies in 8 third-place teams making it to the knockout rounds.
I will say that FIFA separating the top four teams into pathways is super lame. It makes deep runs like Morocco, Turkey, and South Korea more difficult. England, Spain, Argentina, and France don't deserve to be protected when no one has been protected before.
I'm overseas, in England and this podcast has some of the best analysis around the game. Well done on getting the goalie on your show, arguably the most difficult position on the pitch.
