  1. Don't be sleeping on D1 soccer! A lot of guys and girls who have been part of academy programs in Europe look to D1 colleges if they can't get a contract by 16. The football knowledge they bring is quite high. D1 just becomes a training ground for talent, plus they get another life skill that most footballers don't get for "life after football" if they choose to finish their program.

As for the two guys who were drafted ahead of Bombito; they were Hamady Diop who Charlotte used in 11 games before getting loaned out to a Serbian club and Shakur Mohammed who has played only 3 minutes in 2 seasons with Orlando.
