1. The USSF is trolling the fans by constantly giving Sargent the C team midfield. How is he suppose to score when he has Diego Luna creating chances for him and Adams who is probably defending for his life. Sargent was setup to fail. He is our most technical CF.

  2. I wish you guys didn’t give so much air time responding to the comments from people saying you guys are “Haters”. Screw them. You guys give great and honest feedback no need to continually give air time to these types of comments

  3. Both of you really suck. Roldan a 2? Did you even watch the game? Y’all just talk based on vibes. If your narrative is proven wrong, say it with boldness. Instead you try to give caveats as to each it didn’t follow through. Japan played B team yeah. But did some their starters come in in the second half? Outside of Pulisic, Richard’s, Balogun and Dest, this wasn’t the US best team. That says Japan’s B/A combined is beneath us by a long mile.

  4. My take aways: we beat a Japan B team with our B+ team… That's what's supposed to happen. I thought the speed of play was much better. We missed a lot of opportunities and I can't help but wonder what your guys tone would be had we won 5-0 like it probably should have been. I love the formation change.

A few player notes to me:
    1) Freeze looked sharp and played the ball well at his feet.
    2) Zendayas is likely better than Luna. He's still worth a look as a depth piece.
    3) Sargent doesn't fit in this system. He needs great service and cannot create like Balo and honestly Downs when he came in…yes I know B team got it.
    4) Rodan (spl?) didn't look special but I don't really recall him making any mistakes. Again..could be a ok backup that you can trust to not fuck up a game.
    5) I don't feel like Adams has played well for the USMNT under Poch…he continues to just look blah to me. He's dropping so fast on my board. It's not that he was bad but he didn't look different than Rodan to me.
    6) Freeman had his best game but his only real strength is his speed and effort…he couldn't beat a player 1v1.
    7) which brings up Arfsen…no def ability though I thought he pressed better in 2nd half but he can at least take players on 1v1 on the outside. I think he should be invited back even as a backup only if we run a back 3. He cannot be a def fullback.
    8) Balo is just so much more than any striker we've seen in months. Breath of fresh air.

  5. You keep talking about who Japan put on the field… but then say we didn’t put our best guys on the field… but then you keep hammering the fact that Japan didn’t put their best guys on the field. Just a little annoying about how negative this whole “community” is

  6. I don’t understand keep adding the caveat, but this was Japan’s B team when at the same time we complain about us bringing a bunch of players that shouldn’t be there, so does that also mean that we had our B team with a couple starters sprinkled in?

  7. The thing that I dislike about Pete and Tac is that they always give Gio Reyna the benefit of the doubt and want him at the camps but absolutely bag on Musah who gets minutes and plays pretty well at a high level… sure he does have bad games but when he plays good… he can ball like no other. I still remember him against Real Madrid as an Rb. He was locking them down. Meanwhile Gio never plays and when he does he barely does anything. He hasn’t done anything since BJ Callaghan. Don’t get me wrong I love Gio too and we def need him but I just hate how you guys cut this guy way more slack than Musah.

  8. I think we should expect this roster in wc 2026 it’s sad but true, the only additions we will get will probably be Tillman and Yedi Robinson. I hope we get Johnny Cardoso, Musah and Weston McKennie and also Gio Reyna but Gio I want him to earn his spot he is definitely not a starter

  9. a win so great lets get real these mls players suck ass and poch out i played soccer all my life my bro was always better than me but i still know soccer i have played all my life and been a Arenal fan all my lany of us play er who dose not have a winning attitude

  10. I like you guys a lot but sometimes you are just clearly biased against certain players and for others. Arfsten had a solid game, he was playing in a back five, his job was to get up the field and play offensively so saying that he wasnt good defensively is like saying zendejas wasnt. And if anyone else in the team had gotten that assist, pete would be praising them to high heavens. And ream was pretty bad imo, he lost a lot of headers in the box that ended up going straight to freese but could have gone in.

  11. Ik it's considered old fashioned, and we won't see it, but I would like to see a 4-4-2 (Dest, Richards, McKenzie, Robinson, Adams, Cardoso, McKennie, Tillman, Pulisic, Balogun). I think the strength is in the midfield who can fly around, crowd the midfield to help players like Adams who can't builf out from the back. It gives Pulisic to roam, be creative, and help counters like finding Balogun

  12. The US has better quality than both japan and Korea put together, coming from an el tri fan, to be honest I wasn't even impressed with Japan, probably the best Japanese national team of all times couldn't beat the worst Mexican national team of all times, I think Japan is overrated, and the US just so happened to choose the wrong coach, but in terms of quality the US is better than both Japan and Korea, like I said coming from an el tri fan

  13. I’ve always viewed arfsten’s role as much (or more) as placeholder for Jedi than a World Cup roster contender. Maybe this is naive but I have assumed he (and freeman) on the other side) were at least partially chosen to fill the tactical role for team training and experience purposes.
