  1. Morgan is just superb here. Swanson is the most promising new forward I've seen in years and gives me some hope for the immediate future. Still, the offense just has to play better, collectively.

  2. Watching tonight vs Brazil and they are bringing up equal pay. Where do they think the money will come from to make it equal? Nobody is holding these woman back. It’s like the WNBA. It’s just not as popular as the men. They get paid based on what the sport brings in. It’s really that simple. If the woman brought in more money than the men then they should be paid accordingly. They act like there is some movement to NOT pay them.

  3. Not sure what to make of this current team and it’s makeup. They are to inconsistent game to game. The thing that is obvious is the lack of a passing game which impossible for any kind of a build up style game. Vlatko put a team together that lacks the basic skills and ability to pass and connect passes. To complicate the problems you don’t have wingers/outside forwards that can provide good crosses or even make any attempt to pass the ball in the scoring third. You have players that play with that individual mentality around and in the scoring third. Vlatko likes to high press so that he can get quick goals from turnovers. Build up plays do not fit the style that both Swanson and smith play. You can have several USA players run into the box looking for a cross but what you get is 2 players not showing they can provide crosses or even passes but looking to shoot despite not having a shooting lane. Smith and Swanson have never been known for being passers. Swanson has also taken over the duties of corner kick and free kicks which to date she really has not been good at either. Huerta might be a better choice to use for free kicks and possibly corner kicks. Its getting to late to make any changes or even add players who haven’t played in over 7 months. He needs to address the immediate problems of this current team and not worry about the injured players especially those with the ACL injuries. With only 3 games after they play Brazil if this team is not ready after the last two games then I am not sure how this team will perform in a WC tournament

  4. so cool to watch a smaller, lighter forward, kick butt. Morgan and someone like Korniack (sp?), are big and powerful, and great skills, then here comes Mal, super fast, highly skilled with incredible finesse, just dominate, run cicles around the defense, just about, every game she plays .. so fun to watch her play. ⚽♥

  5. i really appreciate the fact that the final score isn't included in the title of the videos like many other channels do. i never understand why anyone would want to know who won before watching the highlights

  6. It was fun to watch in person. With a few exceptions, the Japanese DBs negated our forwards. The Japanese forwards were excellent shooters, and the midfielders consistently stole the ball. Japan was more physical in the midfield, too. Luckily, our keeper and DBs played excellent with great catch-up speed.

  7. Don’t want to see the USWNT win the WC playing this trash football. Awful, never seen so many diags and long balls in my life. No skill, just kick and run. The score line flattered them

  8. Japan played fairly well, except their offensive game was fairly weak. It appeared that the U.S. tried to shore up their defense in the hopes they could spring a counter-attack goal or two. Which they inevitably did. Their other option was a run-and-gun shootout that might exhaust the squad even more than the frantic defense did. We'll see what they try against Brazil which has a more potent offense than Japan. USA can still win the tournament with a loss as long as they don't lose by many goals. Canada's play against Brazil was probably the best of the tournament so far.
