Who would have thought ditching a striker that plays for – and scores a goal or two for – the side that currently tops the Bundesliga tables would be a questionable decision? Pepi (who has struggled since his move) and Ferreira (MLS dynamo)… ahhh, I get it. He certainly has his favorites, it seems…
Granted having a go at Berhalter for the obvious. but beyond just him something's clearly off. Maybe it's direction, but mentality just doesn't seem to be there. And it's got to be grating considering I do think this US side has more innate talent than sides of the past. But I'm not so sure this team WOULD be an automatic to BEAT those teams of the past – if that makes sense.
The way I see the US squad with MLS Players is as if a Highschool had a good varsity Team and then they grabbed some JV players that really suck, they're not at the same level

Fifa rankings are based on a flawed system. You need to accept the fact that USMNT is just simply not good enough. This “expectation” to make it out of the group is unrealistic. If it wasn’t for CONCACAF being so weak, the US wouldn’t make it to the World Cup.
