17. If Aaronson gets any significant playing time in a match, be it for Leeds or USMNT, the squad he's on at that moment will always have a fighting chance. He has shown through the first three games of Leeds' season that his motor and pressing set the tone for the rest of the game. The tenacity and ruthlessness he's bringing to the Premier League are infectious; he's already a crowd favorite and looks comfortable against the competition.

    Should Aaronson and Adams develop good chemistry and are healthy through the September window, I don't believe 3G has any choice but to start the Japan and/or Saudi Arabia matches with those two alongside one other midfielder (I like McKennie as the third piece). The fear Aaronson instills in the competition is unlike anything that I feel another US international offer the national team. Sargeant at striker and Aaronson in the AM could make the USMNT a legit pressing team.

19. I think Aaronson needs to be in the US central midfield not up front. For me our midifeld is shaping up to be Tyler Adams and Aaronsen plus 1, maybe Musah, De La Torre, McKinney. But the ability to carry the ball and attack defenders is something the US lacks and maybe that could allow the likes of pulisic and Weah to attack in behind and get on the end of things rather than having to be creators.
