@pele42891 I honestly dont know about americans in italy, but I think its Michael Bradley in Germany? We don't beg for credit, even the Bob Bradley has complimented the Scottish and English leagues for how much we've helped his team. That says enough..
@pele42891 USA have gotten a lot better, because most of the team play in England. Clint Dempsey said after the game it was just like a premierleague clash. So really, all American football fans should also thank England.
@pele42891 Hell, i dont care about history. What it is, the English team are retards at the moment but give it 5 years and the youth we have will rock. Not sure about the american youth system but good luck to it. Lets hope the MLS get even more of our reject players and lets keep hoping the Americans continue to post all their promising players to us 🙂
@pele42891 Hardly any of the American international team play in American.. Brad Guzan, Tim Howard, Jay Demerit, Clint Dempsey. Thats because they knew they would get further in their football career if they cam here. Brazil invented the Samba of football in the Favelas. It wasn't London, it was Sheffield that invented it as it is today. I never implyed we invented the whole concept of football as we know today, but we've dont a hell of a lot more for the sport than the Americans have

@pele42891 We invented it. The oldest team in the world was created in a city called Sheffield. The oldest team in our top 4 flights of football is Nottingham County. Thats team is easily 50 years older than your oldest club. Quite a funny arguement, because you get all of the premierships oaps.. ie. Freddy Lumjberg, David Beckham, Thierry Henry. Agreed, on an international stage, as painful as it is for both countries, there is very little difference.

@MageHoradrim I dont hate the USA at soccer and neither do I care wether some ppl call in soccer or football. But I think the reason for hating the usa is first of all their politics and the unfortunate ignorance of the majority of the population. This is what other nations dislike about the USA and so, they keep hating the USA. I'm a German (live in Canada) and I don't mind american soccer. Yes its not the greatest but its getting better and better and they showed a suprise in South Africa. 🙂

USA is good in football, hockey, baseball, swimming, basketball, they do well in the olympics. Europeans are better in motorsport, soccer, basketball, curling, cycling. See what I mean, it balances out, there is no "overall best nation in sports".
actually you're the one who brought the conversation about USA at the olympics while I was sticking to the video which is why I talk about soccer. I'm not saying they are the worst in soccer but they aren't the greatest. I dont "hand-pick" the sports which the USA is the worst at but if you compare europeans and USA at the sports they are good in, they are both overall the greatest.

The only sports they are good in are Baseball, Football, hockey, and basketball. Basketball is kinda popular in Europe but the rest of those sports are only popular here in N. America, so dont say they are "overall" the best when they are not the greatest in worlds most popular sports

Ok fine granted the USA has the most medals overall and in the summer games and are fourth in winter olympics succeded by China, norway, and Germany. Now in Soccer, they are far down the list, so in motorsports (not talking about nascar). Curling is another sport the USA is not at the greatest level.
@LSBonnPower …if you want to chance the path of discussion, then you can talk about other countries that have faired better than canada, like Hungary,Finland, which have very low populations, yet still fair better historically than canada…so i wouldn't use the population arguement…i mean GEEZ….the former country of East Germany has won more than the entire history of canada, my northern friend

Do you have the source of where you got all that infomation about gold medals.
(Population is also a thing that has to be taken in mind. Canada has only 33 million people and the USA has 300 million which also means that the USA has 10x better chances of finding athletes. Thats why they are also the once showing up with the most atlethes most of the time.

yes you have the most medals and who cares? this is the wrong way of counting the medals. The nation with the most gold medals is first. If 2 countries have the same amount of gold medals, then they count the silver medals. For example, on the vancouver 2010 winter olympics, USA had the most medals, but Canada had the most gold (14) which put us in first followed by Germany.

europeans beat you in car racing (not talking about nascar). Canada wins most of the times on hockey, baseball is garbage that no one cares about in europe and so is american football. Jamaica is now beating you in sprints. Swimming is something USA is successful at.
