Algunas lecturas recomendadas:

  1. Pay for play isn't the best system…not even close, but has nothing to do with usmnt poor player development, defeatist philosophies and awful coaching. You talk about Belgium, Iceland and Croatia but don't seem to understand that before their rise, it was revamping the entire youth coaching system by enstating lisencing, guidelines for playing the same system as the senior team and teaching the system intensively. Just like the Asian countries that bring in European coaches and make a jump ten yrs later. They also don't play anything over 8vs8 on a smaller pitch until their teens, which only makes sense

  2. Usa soccer are like the Utah jazz expect when haven't found their click yet I think usa needs a system that's similar with basketball

  3. Some people are making a ton of money from it so it's not going to change in the foreseeable future, the game is secondary in their thinking, they don't want it to progress or even change all they want is for it to continue to make them money.

  4. What causes it? Greed. Pure American greed. And a total lack of vision and soccer culture. Good luck trying to fix that.

  5. If your team are shit they get relegated to a lower division. If your team is good they get promoted to a higher division where the big money is made.

That forces teams to play to win. It forces team to scout for the best players from when they are just kids. If a team is in a Low division but is able to scout and develop talented youth players the team can make a lot of money by trading them to bigger wealthier team or keep the players to achieve wins and promotion to the top division and make the money that way.

The true competitive element is what is missing in US soccer ⚽️, I mean football.

That's how the successful countries do it. Get rid of pay to play. The best will rise to the top. Then USA will have a world beating national team.

  6. Just ran across your video. I certainly agree with everything you said. What I dont understand is how you can go about creating pto-rel. The license fee for a new team to join the MLS is $150-$200 million. My best info on a license fee for USL or NASL team is $2.0-$2.5 million. Why would any MLS team want to be in a position to be a candidate for relegation?

  7. pay-for-play
I've never seen this system in my life. Paying to play football is ridiculous! Here in Brazil, football is free, belongs to everyone. Regardless of race, skin color, whether rich or poor, etc. Children are encouraged to play sports and especially football. There are football fields, parks and even on the local beach to practice. there are also scouts who work for the clubs and capture new talents in the most varied places of the country. If the child or young person shows that he has potential, he is referred to a professional club for professional training. paying to play is absurd. The investment gains on future athletes are then collected with titles, victories and consequently money and sponsors. The return and success of this investment is guaranteed. Just see the history of Brazil in this sport. The number one sport in Brazil is women's and men's volleyball. Football is a religion. It is part of our cultural life. We are not the best example of professionalism, but we are not amateurs either. We are 5 times world champions among other titles. We must fight corruption, the evil of all evil! Football is a new opportunity to change life for the better. Football is life, it's love, it's emotion, it's passion! I really want to see the success of United States football in the world. Come and be part of the football culture that is very rich! It's my simple opinion and perception!

  8. Another point here is that there are a lot of washed up former good players that make a living off the pay to play game. They sell the pay to play system to parents saying it will increase the players chance of a college scholarship if you pay to play in our club. Con men really, but I guess it beats having a real job. It will be difficult to end because there are thousands that make a living off youth soccer.

  9. Is not only about paying. I's also keeping the Sport espontanous And natural. For example kids don't Need a propper field and a referee to organice a match. In Southamerica kids plays in street, corredors, everywere, with balls socks, even juice boxes

  10. Good video. You have much wisdom. USA soccer should copy the model being used by Little League baseball. They offer great opportunities for all children to play baseball, and at a very low cost.

  11. Pay to play was doomed at the get go. If we had that in Britain and Europe. We would have never had such great player's playing the beautiful game of football ⚽.

  12. Nice vid! MLS is a joke! We have much shorter seasons than any of the top leagues around the world, we have a STUPID playoff system where over half the teams get to move on to the post seasons, the list goes on and on . . . We need change now!
