Should have got Jesse Marsch in when we had the chance. Now we need the leaders in the squad to step up and make a change on the pitch!
When your opponent team is so good, you and your other 10 players cannot even find the ball 🙂
アメリカは今回の敗戦で目が覚めたでしょう。世界は広いということです。
The midfield tried to back pass to the defense and the defenders were so withdrawn that it appeared to be a turnover from the midfielders. People say Long shouldn't have been in the game. I say Long AND Zimmerman don't belong on the team. MLS Americans usually aren't good enough. Unless they are like 18 yrs old
Pefok truthers rise up…
The performance wasn’t good, but the worst was the coaching performance. The opposition was sending extra players forward predicting our dogmatic attachment to playing from the back. The pitch was slow and choppy on top of it. But time after time after time, we played directly into the hands of the opposing team. Japan is a quality team, so simply allowing them to play their pressing game with no adjustments, it was infuriating to watch. The simple interceptions became predictable.
Good insight from Parkhurst and Davies!
Brandon Vazquez is better than Jordan Pefok. Vazquez has great feet, and people accused him of having bad feet. He constantly makes runs behind the defense, and he can definitely finish a header too. He’s a skill player though, not just a poacher.
So Kasey Keller said it the best, the USMNT Look lethargic damn.. but I feel the team is just flat on the days. it happens in real life..
Meanwhile Iran best Uruguay, how? I did not watch that particular match.
Berhalter sucks and the US soccer federation will pay the price.
Judging by some of these comments, I realize I don’t need to listen to this to know it’s rubbish. Long was awful, Morris is useless, Ferreira can’t score and Berhalter needs to be fired. All clear as day but we will never be serious if we try to to force these players and coach that aren’t good enough and shun better players playing in better leagues.
There is no plan B.
There never has been one with GGG.
Disagree with Parker, Morris is not that fast anymore.
Hard reset.
Watching this game was painful….
What do you expect? This Is your reallity. Don't tell me. You really believe that you are the giant. A big team. Come on, come on. 🤦🏻♂️
United stated better than joke around on game two cause they better than that. Byt united states is coming out with aggressiveness n so much angry im the next game n they gona win next game
USMT already knew that japan had them on target cause japan already thought like USMT got better ball player n jugglers. N they take advantage of their energy
We shouldn't be experimenting with the team this close to the WC. Makes no sense
Japan is jubilating like they won the world cup already cause they luckily beat great roster like united states.
japan is a good team tbf but having zero shots is crazy
Once upon a time national teams at the World Cup (Hungary/Soviet Union/England) utilized a core group/majority from a succesful single club team that had, for instance, won the domestic league/excelled at continental competition to ensure continuity/familiarity with one another, in turn translate to on-field success. You couldn't even do that with the USMNT today because a) successful MLS teams are by and large made up of foreign players; and b) by and large, national team selection defaults (mostly) to Americans playing overseas. So you get these disparate displays of players from different club environments mashed together on short notice to try and play as a "team." Could you even field a USMNT made up of players from, say, Union/Red Bull NY/LAFC/Austin, and expect anything better than today?
Japan executed their plan against our press very well.
