You can Bring Germany in this messy field and they will look bad. No one will play progressive beautiful soccer in a field like that. Normal circumstances the US will beat El Salvador, 9/10 times. In fact El Salvador has not score on the US since 2013 and we lost maybe once in the 90’s to El Salvador. I will not judge this team because they didn’t beat El Salvador in their country on an unfamiliar field with all the conditions against them including a red card.
Im not one to be kind or sugar coat mediocrity of USSF but this is not a game I will hold against the players or coach. He put a strong line up out and we had to crawl our way out of a messy situation. This is a good thing to happen to this team. We could be down a man, down a goal in the World Cup and this experience will be valuable for the players to know what it takes to pull themselves up. In the end we drew and found a way to score. It’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Everything that impede us from looking good baring a catastrophic loss before the World Cup should be welcome so that we can fix it before the tournament.
