Everyone need understand that every country take strategy, Mexico pick the opponent in top land because know that affects breathe to the visitor, Canada Cold region for play, USA the same and location with not to much Latinos, etc.

I mean its El Salvador wtf y'all expecting lol, I was born in El Salvador and we are a 3rd world country people, we are poor af lol so we are not going to have the best infrastructure in our venues, I mean our symbol is literally an E and an S lol because America is such a vast and diverse continent the US will encounter countries that barely have a stadium to speak of, I mean I would take this any day over it just being a tournament of 3 teams every year Mexico vs US vs Canada. so please don't shame the country for something that they just can't help with, we can't help being poor lol

  18. That’s an awful pitch!!! I know in Mexico we don’t have the best pitches and I admit that the new grass in the Azteca is not as good as it was before but come on Salvador! Even in my Sunday league, the pitches are much better and rain is not an excuse because where I play it rains very often

  22. Shameful field! Barely playable b4 they started playing. Same said for the referee. Horrible red card on USA player. He should have given himself a red for allowing players to play in such dangerous conditions on a dangerous field

  27. Two national teams playing in a cow pasture. I haven't seen a field that bad since my daughter played in a U12 tournament in central Illinois during flood season. The only thing missing was dandelions. Drainage, look it up.

  28. I've played under such wet conditions and man, is it a drag. You just can't do what you know, the ball won't behave as it should, you can hardly walk and you're likely to stay much of the game lying on your butt.

  35. There's nothing to talk about except why the USMNT ego and stupidity accepted the moron's match on a dangerous pitch. The fact that Yanks can't have the foresight to see eventually someone will get injured playing a pointless match, in a pointless region, is well typical actually. Generally most are uninformed arrogant fools so it's on brand.

    If the USMNT and federation can't respect it's assets why should I ? No respectable footballer outside of this region would step foot on that pitch. And the fact that the American fan base is proud of the arrogance shown to risk the hundreds of millions of dollars on contract for a stupid nations league match, is again on brand for the laughingstock of football. It's pathetic and what's worse, but not surprising is nearly everyone in the USA is too ignorant to understand this was another big FAILURE.

    Eventually a star will tear his ACL on on a slip n slide AYSO pitch and you'll remember reading this. Hypothetically, if Pulisic went down and out for WC what would the conversation be ? Still rating average players for their ability to devalue themselves and not show any leadership.

    Pulisic should have said, no, I'm not playing and if he had the world would finally for the first time ever begin to believe the USA is serious about soccer now. We're a joke, but for now it's a cruel joke, but being stupid and mean is kinda the USA's best attributes innit ?
