  1. USA value is 250 millions vs Canada value is 150 millions, how is it possible???; the secrete is in the Synergy: "cooperation of the players that produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects", simply the Herdsman Factor. That is a lifetime lesson boys

  2. I’ve said this so many times we always hope the talent our players have Will bail us out of tough games and most of the time they do but the problem is when they can’t we can’t count on Greg but there’s nothing to do we’re gonna qualify either way but it’s finally becoming more apparent to normal fans that Greg is not a very good coach I’m not gonna say he’s terrible but he is definitely showing that somebody else could probably do a better job with this team

  3. Paper over the cracks with this manager. You could see this result coming. 1-1 v a disorganized Jamaica outfit, 1-0 late win v Bosnia C team that played w 10 men, and a 1-0 win against El Salvador a team. Big match v Honduras…. because next WCQ round, you have to go to Azteca and then home v Panama..a team US lost 1-0… very dangerous to be so arrogant to think you can throw away WCQ matches…and that 3rd is ok

  4. Greg built a a very soft team with no strength physically. CBs are poor at best. Need Aaron Long back NOW. Also has no striker of any ability, stop the insanity and bring back jozy. A 50%jozy would be a 100% of any existing striker. Greg is terribly amaturist.

  5. GGG has the squad looking like a bunch of individuals who get wins because they're talented instead of an actual team. It looks like there isn't a plan or that the team doesn't understand the plan. Either way it's GGG fault. I truly believe that this teams needs a coach who can bring out the best in the players, and GGG isn't it.

  6. Any insider info regarding Minneapolis? Meaning if the weather holds up, will the heating system be feasible? Is there a backup indoor stadium that can be used? Will it get postponed?

  7. This type of result has been coming for a while (and won't be the last) considering the consistent mediocre performances we've seen under Gregg going back to Nation's League (and further back if we're being honest). But the most alarming part about all of this is watching a coach (Gregg) getting out coached by the other coach (Herdman) and not even realize it. I haven't had high hopes for the USMNT since Gregg took over but this should have everyone's alarm sirens going off LOUDLY.

  8. The USMNT defense was porous , the midfield also didn't protect the defense.

Canada was ruthless and efficient. They have learnt well how to counter attacking football . They sit back and hit you on the counter. If the counting like this they maybe a threat at the World Cup .

With the US , the coach is incompetent and why is Zardes still on the team more so starting a game ? His 30 and in football years for a Striker that's old . His not going to improve .

  9. Basically, this was the US vs. Canada at last year's Gold Cup repeated in reverse…

If you recall, the US got the early lead then for the most part, stopped attacking entirely and sat back, daring Canada to come at them and score for the rest of the game… the US ended up winning 1-0.

What did most pundits say back then?

"US played horribly… they were outplayed and totally dominated at home!!!"

"Us got the 3 points, sure, but Canada should have won that game!!! The US didn't deserve to win, they just played bunker ball… the final score was unfair !!"

"Canada knows how to play soccer… the US couldn't do anything but sit back!"

  10. It is actually still possible that Canada qualifies in this window if they beat El Salvador combining with other favorable results because other teams still need to face each other and lose points and mathematically won't be able to drop Canada to 4th.

  11. Canada was actually ranked between 100-110 in the world as recently as like 2018. The rapid ascent of Canada should be appreciated and respected. Their key components are young too. Canada ain't going anywhere. As a soccer fan growing up in Canada, this is all I could ever ask for, a competitive men's team. It's like a dream. I'm so proud of this team.

  12. I’m not gonna lie Max, I was super pissed with this loss but after hearing your post-match review, it regained my confidence in the team qualifying. Here’s to a win against Honduras!

  13. Argentina historically has struggled against tall and fast teams. Canada is taller, more physical and faster than Argentina, and if you factor in that Canada now has 2-3 world class players in Buchanan, Davies, etc, they could easily compete against Argentina and I’d not be surprised if they beat them. Don’t forget that Argentina has very little in the way of new talent (they’re a country in a multifaceted and sad decline) as they still heavily rely on their old guard. I think the USA has more promise at the moment than Argentina quite frankly.

Belgium and France are a different story as they’re tall, fast and physical, and though Canada would be competitive (as would the USA), definitely advantage to the Gauls and Wallones!

  14. I just checked fifa says the football pitch should be 105 meters in length and 68 meters wide so that field was a proper size according to them .sorry usa was not the better team no way . What the hell is he talking about . And ubko is going to be another guy to watch out for .

  15. Is it time to acknowledge that Pulisic isn't our best player any more? McKinney has surpassed him, and Reyna when he gets healthy will be right on his heels. Pulisic and Aaronson seem to have have lost their mojo. Dest and Musah are a bit overrated at this point, they both have moments where you can see the massive potential but other moments you can see they both have a lot of developing still to do. Consistency is my biggest issue with both of them, some games you can see the talent but then other games they seem like they have no touch or control on the ball and no idea how to play. Weah and McKinney are the only players we have playing at a world class level right now, Adams is one notch below them and we rely on him way too much. Jedi is a solid starter, the center backs I wouldn't rate much higher than serviceable. Our depth is crap because GGG insists on relying on his favorites rather than calling in guys like Luca, CCV, and Konrad. I pray Pulisic and Aaronson find their form again and Dest and Musah continue to develop and reach their potential and that promising guys like Pepi, Busio and Sands who were on the verge of breaking through with the national team don't get lost on the bench at their new European clubs.

  16. Hey Max, just giving my opinion here, against a good Canadian team Berhalter again shows his lineup abilities suck. He starts Zardes… first mistake, then he has an opportunity to make up for it at half time, and instead of taking Pulisic off, who I thought played awful, he pulls off aaronson who was playing electric, and again we fail, Berhalter needs to stop trying stuff and get the team together. I know Weah is absolutely one of our better players but again he starts Zardes. Pulisic needs to be on the right side or midfield. Cmon Berhalter wake up!!

  17. Before the whistle blew I told my group that this game was the closest thing we have to an actual World Cup game, and well… you know the rest.
