Why The USA Is Producing SO MUCH Talent! | Explained

Hello and welcome back to Euro Football Daily where today we are breaking down why the US is now producing so much football talent. A laughing stock a few years ago, they have invested cleverly in grassroots football and linked up with the MLS to create world class academies.

The results have been instantaneous. Christian Pulisic is now ripping it up at Chelsea, Weston McKennie at Juventus, Sergino Dest at Barcelona, whilst Chris Richards is playing for treble winning Bayern Munich.

How did the US do it and could they soon win a Ballon D’Or? Find out the answers in today’s video.

  1. As much as we (England) have talent I still feel we are lacking in a proper youth structure like Ik we do have one but with the number of football brains and funds we have I feel we could do better

  2. The Problem with Soccer/Football in the US was is and will be always the same…. other main sport dont want it !!!
NFL NBA Baseball etc are Worried they could have loss in Importance Space … Audience Incomes etc etc

  3. This is why I considering moving to the USA. I am currently at the Bristol City team's college and there is no scouting or any opportunities for us to play at a higher level from our football. I was going to continue at Bristol City and train to become a manager but that does have a route into the club. Whereas if you study at a university in the USA you get a payed scholarship around 60% but depending on your position within the squad (captain or vital player) it will be 100% payed for. You get the best facilities with a medical staff and also an opportunity to get drafted into the MLS or leagues below it. The UK needs to catch onto this or they are going to miss out on talent that can't afford to pay to be in youth teams, and the higher education.

  4. Wgat the us needs is to use its national League to find the talent they need for their starting 11 like brazil, Germany, Argentina, spain etc, basically the best countries in terms of football

  5. This is just the beginning so we can’t say that the US will get better
Their a lot of African Countries and European Countries that have way more prospects and arnt really making moves

The US needs to start playing with the conmebol more and the players that are in Europe need to stop being “tattooed divas”

  6. We are still light years behind Europe and South America in producing soccer talent. Yes it is much better, but still so far behind in young peoples access to quality academies. As pointed out by others the profit requirement still dwarfs any true development based on promise.

  7. when i lived in mexico i was getting scouted to be a prospect by a mexican team then my family migrated to the US and it was way more difficult to even go to train. It was crazy expensive to even try to go to talk to a team but then they wanted us to pay for me to even ttrain with them. after that we practically gave up on anything to do with becoming a pro and just played in a very small domestic amateur league. its been 15 years now and while i am grateful at the opportunities that moving to the USA and lets not forget safety brought. Every now and then when watching a match i wonder what could have been.

  8. Pretty ironic that a sport whose greatness is tied to its access to the most impoverished people all over the world is just another rich kids' game in the US. Good thing Maradona didn't grow up here.

  9. it was gonna come eventually. The united states is one of the biggest countries in the world with so much diversity meaning you have immigrants who have played ball. Also, the united has so many recourses to build and produce great players. I would not be surprised if 10 years from now the best soccer player is american

  10. It's great to see the USMNT deciding to abandon the older generation. While they did give us great moments it's time to let the next one shine through Pulisic. By the 2030s hopefully America will take their core group of youngsters and develop them into world-class talent, and give us a World Cup Trophy or Gold at the Olympics. Much love to the USMNT, though it's tough love, it's still love. <3

  11. This video is making fun of the US soccer program. The USA can't even qualify for the Olympics against weak opponents like Honduras. We struggle to beat teams in the CONCACAF who are weak. Most of the CONCACAF teams are made up of semi-pro teams. Where is the Michael Jordan and James, Bryant of the US soccer? I have heard this before. Give me facts not opinions.

  12. Fact check. Plenty of American youth play soccer. Soccer is the number one played youth sports up until high School. The reason they choose to leave the sport is because of economics.

  13. Not sure will my idea work better, but hear me out:

    1. Having an organization that allows kids age 12 and below to play, train, and compete in futsal for free (act as a charity event-ish thing), so they can be more creative and better at tight space while having more kids falling in love with the game

    2. MLS Next from age 13 and up to allow teens and pre-teens to have proper more traditional training and practices

    3. MLS to combine with USLC, USL 1, and NISA to form a more European promotion and relegation type of league while having the playoff tradition of US sports

    Give me your opinions!

  14. Well at last México will have some real opposition in the CONCACAF, that's the only good thing about USA becoming better at football. Hopefully México will keep beating them up tho

  15. The discovery of CTE in American football players I believe to have also shifted some focus away from the sports, freeing up young athlete's for European football
